Wireless networks present a unique set of challenges which traditional remote access VPN products were never designed to address. As a result SSL and IPSec VPNs have failed to meet the demands of those who have attempted use them to extend enterprise applications over wireless networks. So, a new class of product, the Mobile VPN has emerged.
During this session, Paul Ramsey of Capita (Service Birmingham’s Wireless Architect) will describe how they have successfully deployed a Mobile VPN to provide the City Council’s broad range of mobile workers with a desktop experience for access to a broad range of enterprise applications over any available wireless network.
