SUMMARY:Best practices for wireless network security
DESCRIPTION:Wireless network security has become a minefield of acronyms and solutions which can be confusing and seemingly complex. We have WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK, 802.11i, AES, TKIP, LEAP, PEAP, TLS and TTLS security systems - which solution do you pick? We have all heard that WEP is insecure and many people will have read articles on LEAP and WPA-PSK security cracks. So what solutions can and should we implement? In this fast-paced session we will look at the latest wireless network penetration techniques. PEAP is now a predominant technology in wireless security, and we will see how to implement a secure network using PEAP, avoiding some weaknesses recently discovered. We will investigate how to plan wireless security, carry out security audits and how to deploy tools to protect against network security attacks.
