Widget UK Ltd distributes a tightly focussed range of satellite navigation, portable electronics and mobile scanning products to UK channel partners, including Dixons Store Group, Comet, Amazon.co.uk, Carphone Warehouse, Staples, Maplin as well as many smaller resellers.
Widget’s rapid sales growth has led to it being featuring in the Sunday Times Fast Track of the country’s fastest growing private companies for both 2006 and 2007, being placed 34th and 36th respectively.
But while this growth has been going on, Widget has never forgotten that it is a service company, a fact underlined when it won Service Business of the Year at the Fast Growth Business Awards in March 2007.
Today the main lines Widget distributes are
• TomTom personal navigation devices, PDA software and accessories from Europe’s leading GPS manufacturer
• Datawind Net Access Corporation, the Canadian manufacturer of the PocketSurfer 2, a budget-priced, hand-held device to provide mobile internet access. With its own built-in SIM card, it uses the GSM/GPRS networks to download web pages in under 10 seconds onto a display similar to a full size PC screen.
• CardScan and Dymo products from US conglomorate Newell Industries
