Extricom UltraThin Access Points

Extricom’s EXRP-20 and EXRP-40 UltraThin Access Points (APs) are high-bandwidth devices, containing multiple standard 802.11 radios. Since the APs have no software, they require no configuration. This makes them fully interchangeable, enabling truly plug-and-play installation. APs are connected to the Extricom WLAN Switch via standard Cat5e/6 cables.

With all intelligence residing in the Switch, APs may be placed as close together as necessary to provide high-quality, high-speed connectivity from all locations within the enterprise. In this respect, the Extricom deployment philosophy is like that of wired networks: simply place APs wherever service is required, based solely on the grade services desired (i.e. connection rate), without any of the interference, channelization, or coverage/capacity constraints seen in traditional WLANs. And you do this without time and labor-intensive RF cell planning.
